New Longwall for Springvale

Using over 5,000 tonnes of steel, Springvale’s new Longwall Mining System stretches over 251 metres long and has taken over 18 months to manufacture.

 In 2010, Centennial’s Mandalong mine joined forces with Ecobiological, an ecological consultancy, to develop a comprehensive research program to better understand the use of nesting boxes.

 

Centennial paddling for a good cause

For the past seven years Centennial has partnered with the local Rotary Club of Toronto Sunrise to support Paddlfes, an annual charity event.

Paddlefest is an action packed day, with a range of boating competitions taking place along the shores of Lake Macquarie’s Speers Point Park to raise money for a range of local charities.

Apprentices and Trainees looking forward to starting work

2013 will mark the beginning of an exciting career for eight lucky local apprentices and trainees who are due to commence their training across Centennial’s Western operations in the coming weeks.

The Rathmines Catalina Festival had a lot to celebrate in its sixth year, with the Festival not only attracting approximately 20,000 visitors but also having one of its largest aviation displays to date.

To support the Festival, Centennial held a community stall at the event which proved a hit with Festival goers young and old alike.
