October has seen a new shade of work wear around Centennial mines, with pink the colour of choice to help raise money for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and its annual Pink Ribbon fundraiser.

Centennial’s Charbon Mine has successfully rejuvenated and rehabilitated 62 hectares of once mined land with its one of a kind seed bank project. Matt Gray, the Mine’s Environment and Community Officer, has driven the project to help restore the once mined areas and ensure it matches the natural surrounding habitat.

Celebrating the Club’s 45 year history, the Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club revelled the launch of its very own history book; Team Wangi - The History of Wangi RSL Amateur Sailing Club. Put together by Club patrons, the final production of the book was a collaborative community project with Lake Macquarie City Council, Centennial Coal and Wangi RSL Club all lending a hand.
